Verónica Segura es actriz y escritora mexicana. Licenciada en Artes Dramáticas de la Texas State University, obtuvo una Maestría en Apreciación y Creación Literaria de la Universidad Casa Lamm de México. En Nueva York estudió la técnica Practical Aesthetics en la Atlantic Theatre Company fundada por David Mamet, y desarrollo de guión cinematográfico con Robert McKee. Su carrera profesional de actuación la inició en Australia donde destacó en series y largometrajes como Star Wars: Episodio II, El Ataque de los Clones. Actuó en numerosas producciones internacionales de cine, teatro y televisión, y fue columnista de la edición mexicana de la revista Playboy. Ha sido programadora cultural, seminarista de actuación, y traductora de películas. En 2019 publicó “La belleza de este día”, un libro de poemas editado por HD (Hemisferio Derecho). Varios de sus poemas y cuentos también han sido publicados en las antologías “Mujeres 3” y “Siete” de Ediciones Croupier. Actualmente reside en Buenos Aires, Argentina donde continúa su carrera, se desempeña como Directora Artística del Buenos Aires Running Film Festival (BARunFF), y comparte escritos en su blog “Segura de Todo” (http://seguradetodo.blogspot.com/). Veronica Segura is a mexican writer and actress. She has a BFA in Theatre Arts from Texas State University, and an MA in Creative Writing from Casa Lamm University, Mexico City. She studied the Practical Aesthetics acting technique at the Atlantic Theater Company founded by David Mamet, as well as the Story Seminars conducted by Robert McKee (Story & Genre). She began her professional acting career in Australia participating in TV series and feature films such as Star Wars: Episode II, Attack of the Clones. She has acted in numerous international movies, theater and television productions, and was a columnist for the Playboy Mexican Edition. She has been a cultural programmer, acting coach, and a film translator. In 2019, she published “La belleza de este día”, a book of poems by Hemisferio Derecho Publishing House in Argentina. Also published some of her stories and poems in the anthologies "Mujeres 3" and "Siete" by Croupier Publishing House. She is currently the Artistic Director for the Buenos Aires Running Film Festival (BARunFF), and shares her writings in “Segura de Todo” (http://seguradetodo.blogspot.com/).
